You guys are missing the fresh Fall weather! Today is our first day of rain, and boy has it been raining. It woke me up around 4:00 this morning when it started coming down and it hasn't let up since. The typist hasn't even made us go outside for a walk (although she tried to get us all to walk on that stupid treadmill). She lets everyone outside for potty breaks once in a while but I plan to hold it until I am about to burst. No sense in gettin my do' wet if I don't have to.
We have been doing some indoor wrestling to keep ourselves occupied and otherwise just laying around. Ah, I love rainy days. The typist took me to trader joes with her while everyone else had to stay in the garage because they had wet feet (hehehe). Boy were they wild when we got home, someone needs to teach them some manners. I saw on the news that the rain is supposed to clear up by this evening which means we will probably have to go on a walk. Sigh.
I hope you guys are getting some nicer weather over there across the pond. Smell you soon!

I'm Surviving
After a rough start, this week isn't' shaping up to be too bad. On Monday the Typist packed up and left us for the big city. Some work thing I heard her saying. That meant we were left with DD (Degan's Dad). He is gone all day and I didn't appreciate having to spend the wee hours of the morning outside. I prefer to spend my mornings lounging with Dunne on the bed but that wasn't going to fly. Then when he gets home in the evening I had to run next to him on that stupid bike! I hate the bike! If you think it is so great why don't you peeps run next to the bike while I drive it?
Finally on Wednesday the Typist came home and things have been better since. Normal walks in the barranca, no early mornings, and I get to lay inside all day at the Typist's feet. Yesterday I even got to run some errands. Dropped the clothes off at the cleaners, hit up Trader Joes, and the post office. Only Carmen and I got to tag along since we are the most well behaved. The best part of yesterday is that I got to go home! DD and the Typist took me to check on our pad and don't worry the place looked like it did the day we left. The grass is a little longer and the house smelled a little lonely but everything was still in tact. I did a thorough inspection for any squatters and came up empty (okay really DD and I followed the Typist around while she checked it out but I was ready in case of emergency).
Today is dreary and it looks like it might sprinkle a bit. Degan is out hunting, Dunne is asleep on tile with Paisley next to him and Carmen and I are working (sleeping) in the office. I miss you guys but it isn't so bad here. I can't wait to smell you when you get home.
Signing off,
Roney

Home Alone
I've been wondering whats up. The house has been slightly abuzz with excitement as of late, I've been hearing a lot of talk about some place called Ireland and all of a sudden the suitcases are out. This is never a good sign. It either means I am coming with on a LONG car ride only to have to swim in a lake (yuck) and sleep OUTSIDE in a tent OR it means they are leaving me.
Turns out they were leaving me . . . at the kennel! Okay not a real kennel but it might as well be. I have to sleep on the floor, eat with dogs, and I only get dog food! Don't get me wrong I like to visit Degan's house but I have a feeling this is going to be a loooonnnngggg visit.
Its only day 3 but so far so good. Yesterday we went on a long creek walk and I did a bit of swimming (okay, wading). Then last night the peeps got gussied up and went to watch a Cat get married (I didn't know Cats got married). While the peeps were away I was in charge. Carmen and Dunne were very bad and didn't listen to a word I said. They dug in the apricot tree, chased each other around, and ate some plants. I kept telling them that the peeps would be mad but they didn't care.
I had to ask for a benadryl tonight because I have been very itchy. Paisley is laying on MY bed right now so I hopped on the peep's bed to relay this message to the typist (paws were not made for modern day technology). I miss my parents but the kennel isn't so bad. Signing off for tonight.
